Congratulations to Dr. Ahn and Dr. Yu on their Grady leadership roles
Congratulations to Dr. Jaimo Ahn, Grady’s new Chief of Orthopedics and Dr. David Yu, Grady’s new Chief of Radiation Oncology.
Dr. Ahn will serve as the executive clinical, administrative and strategic leader for all orthopedic services at Grady. He will collaborate with key stakeholders at Grady, Emory University School of Medicine and Morehouse School of Medicine to ensure high-quality, patient-centered musculoskeletal care across the system.
Dr. Ahn joined Emory and Grady in October 2024 as director of orthopedic trauma. He also serves as adjunct professor of surgery at Morehouse School of Medicine and as graduate program faculty in biomedical engineering at the Georgia Institute of Technology.
Dr. Yu will oversee clinical, educational and research activities within the department on the Grady campus. Partnering with key oncologic leaders within Grady, Emory University School of Medicine and Morehouse School of Medicine, he will continue to develop the cancer service line to the benefit of all patients.
Dr. Yu is an accomplished physician-scientist and currently serves as a Professor and the Jerome Landry, MD Chair in Cancer Research within the Emory University School of Medicine. Since joining the Emory faculty in 2010, his clinical career has been spent at Grady with a focus on treating patients with head, neck, and breast cancers.
