Thank you Arthur M. Blank Family Foundation for powering surgical excellence at Grady
This month, we unveiled the naming of Grady’s upgraded surgery center for one of Atlanta’s most generous benefactors, Arthur M. Blank, whose contribution to our recent Power of Grady Campaign is supporting the optimization of Grady’s existing 17 operating rooms and the addition of six new rooms to expand patient capacity.
The Arthur M. Blank Surgery Center is one of the most critical components of the health system, which is in continual use for more than 18,000 patients each year. New state-of-the-art surgical suites in the Correll Pavillion allow the renovation of existing operating rooms, including upgrades to critical components like flooring, lighting and scrub sinks, with reduced impact to patient care. Improvements are also being made to both pre- and post-operative spaces.
Grady Surgeon in Chief Dr. Bellal Joseph and Grady Health Foundation President Joselyn Baker visited the new operating rooms, which are an essential component of Atlanta’s emergency preparedness plan, an essential aspect for drawing sporting events like the FIFA World Cup, major conventions and other opportunities that support our region’s economy.
We hope you will join us in thanking the Arthur M. Blank Family Foundation for its significant and impactful investment.
