Ponce Center dental clinic supported by Delta Dental

Thank you to Delta Dental Community Care Foundation for its generous grant of $85,000 to support the Ponce De Leon Center’s dental clinic. The funding is earmarked to assist with lab expenses for partial and complete dentures and bridgework, increasing patients’ ability to chew and smile.

Delta Dental believes in the power of collaboration to strengthen communities and expand access to essential health care. In its award, the Foundation said it is inspired by the Ponce Center’s dedication to providing quality, affordable oral health care.

People living with HIV/AIDS are more susceptible to infections, including dental infections, which can affect their overall health. Because of this higher risk for oral infection and tooth loss, the Ponce Center offers comprehensive dental care services, including removable and fixed prosthodontics. These prosthetics can have a positive impact on the emotional and overall health of our patients, not only helping them eat properly but also boosting their self-esteem and confidence.
