Thanks to The Home Depot Foundation’s ongoing generosity

The Home Depot Foundation has continuously supported Grady’s EMS Academy through a robust scholarship, training and outreach program to help veterans and national guardsmen and women bridge the gap from the military to the workforce.

To continue the great work of Grady’s EMS Academy, while also supporting two new Neighborhood Outpatient Centers in DeKalb County, The Home Depot Foundation recently awarded Grady a $800,000 grant.

With this generous funding, the EMS Academy will focus on providing additional scholarships to veterans, which helps them transition into elite first responder roles; implementing the most up-to-date simulation equipment, state-of-the art technology and expert instructors; and supporting Grady’s Whole Blood Program, which minimizes shock, stabilizes blood pressure and heart rate, and helps patients recover more quickly.

Grady’s neighborhood clinics bring primary and preventive care closer to where patients live and work. Our new Candler and Flat Shoals Neighborhood Outpatient Centers are currently under construction and are scheduled to begin serving DeKalb County in late 2025. Both will provide essential care and screenings, address chronic conditions and connect patients to specialized care when needed.
