GYP experiences the impact of the Ponce Center

Our Grady Young Professionals group recently engaged in a powerful conversation about the impact of the Ponce De Leon Center and its role in addressing one of Atlanta’s most pressing public health challenges – the HIV/AIDS epidemic.

Through a combination of research, prevention, treatment and comprehensive support services, the Ponce Center is not only delivering high-quality care, it is transforming outcomes for thousands of Atlantans each year.

What resonated most were the personal stories that underscored a simple truth: access to coordinated, compassionate care changes lives.

As Grady continues working toward ending the HIV/AIDS epidemic, moments like these reinforce the importance of community awareness, partnership and sustained support.

Did you know that the Ponce Center:

  • Treats more than 11,500 HIV/AIDS patients each year

  • Has experienced 14% annual growth in patients

  • Offers wraparound services including mental health, dentistry and social services

  • Is at risk of losing millions of dollars that directly impacts research, treatment and prevention efforts due to federal funding cuts – but you can help with a gift today.
