Good to Know: Grady’s updated visitor process

Grady is committed to keeping our patients, guests and staff safe. To support that goal, Grady launched a new Visitor Management System (VMS) in November.

How it works:

·       All guests will check in with Guest Services at the main entrances.

·       Guests will need to show a valid ID and share the purpose of their visit.

·       Once approved, visitors will get a temporary sticker that expires after their visit.

·       Guests must wear the sticker visibility while inside the hospital.

Each unit within Grady has its own rules regarding visitors, so please check guidelines. Children younger than 16 must be with an adult and children under 12 need special permission from the charge nurse or unit director. Normal visiting hours are 6:30 a.m. to 10:30 p.m.
