VeloCity Atlanta - Inaugural Cycling Event
May 4 and 5, 2018 |

VeloCity is an exciting new cycling event taking place on Saturday, May 5, 2018, in downtown Atlanta, with all routes starting from the field of Mercedes-Benz Stadium! Featuring multiple distances for riders of all abilities, VeloCity will bring cyclists and the community together to support one of our city’s most important institutions. Grady Hospital is there for all of us — and participating in VeloCity is a way we can all be there for Grady! Watch the video below to see why our patients and families choose to #RideForGrady!

  • VeloCity kicks off with a pre-ride celebration on Friday, May 4, and ends with post-ride festivities on Saturday, May 5. You can expect great food, drinks and entertainment.
  • Riders will pay a registration fee and receive incentives based upon fundraising goals.
  • Riders can choose a 5-mile closed-course through downtown Atlanta, fully supported 25-, 50- or 100-mile distances, or participate in one of several indoor cycling sessions.
  • VeloCity is a ride, not a race. Riders will set their own pace as individuals or as part of a team and find plenty of rest stops along the way.
  • Support from our sponsors will ensure that 100% of participant fundraising will go directly to Grady.
  • Event co-chairs are Falcons GM Thomas Dimitroff and SunTrust Robinson Humphrey president and CEO John Gregg, both avid cyclists. The honorary co-chair is Jim Kennedy of Cox Enterprises.

We are proud to announce The Atlanta Journal Constitution as the presenting sponsor of VeloCity 2018. Additional sponsorship opportunities are still available.
