Development Associate

Payton Coleman joined the Grady Health Foundation Team in March 2023 as the Development Associate. In her role, she supports the Development team by identifying funding opportunities, writing and submitting grant proposals, and helping address Grady Health System’s needs and priorities. She recently moved to the Metro Atlanta area from Charlotte, NC, and is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Public Administration with a concentration in Non-Profit Management at Georgia State University. Payton joins the Grady Foundation team with extensive experience working with non-profit organizations in North Carolina, including Alliance Center for Education, Sustain Charlotte, and Center for Access to Justice. Within these organizations, she had the opportunity to serve in administrative and programming roles, further motivating her passion to serve her community and continue working in the non-profit sector.

Before the COVID-19 pandemic, Payton served as a Community Environment Promoter in Paraguay for the Peace Corps. She graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science and Environment & Sustainability at Catawba College in Salisbury, NC., where she served as the president of their Sigma Alpha Pi chapter and student government association. As she begins a new journey in Atlanta, she looks forward to building community, exploring the city, and helping ensure the quality care of Grady patients daily.
