Natalie Updike

Executive Director of Development

Natalie Updike is the Executive Director of Development for Grady Health Foundation. In this role, she oversees the giving program for private and corporate foundation donors, helping to raise funding for Grady Health System’s programmatic and capital needs. Her responsibilities include developing fundraising proposals, managing stewardship activities, and working with departments within Grady to understand and develop language about the health system’s funding needs and priorities. Prior to working for Grady Health Foundation, Natalie worked as a Communications Director for Coxe Curry & Associates, Atlanta’s largest fundraising consulting firm, helping a diverse range of nonprofits develop case statements, grants and other development communications materials. Natalie also spent five years working with various homeless-serving organizations in metro Atlanta, including Transition House and St. Luke’s Community Kitchen. Natalie graduated magna cum laude from the University of Notre Dame with a Bachelor’s Degree in American Studies and Gender Studies, and is a member of the Phi Beta Kappa honor society. She lives with her husband, daughter and five rescue pets in Tucker, Georgia.
